Tinned steel plate is two sides of tinned low carbon steel plate, commonly known as "tinplate". Cans made of this material are called "plain iron cans" to distinguish them from paint cans. The structure consists of five layers.
1. Steel base: thickness of about 0.2-0.3mm, using low carbon boiling steel. L type (good corrosion resistance), MR Type (suitable for general canned, used in our country are such), MC (low corrosion resistance);
2. Tin-iron alloy layer (FeSn2) : the thickness is 0.05% of the steel base, on both sides of the steel base, corrosion resistance. (hot dip iron 5g/m2, electric ferry iron 1g/m2);
3. Tin layer: the thickness is about 0.5% of the steel base, with shining luster, is an important protective layer;
4. Oxide film: tin itself is oxidized in the process of tin plating, containing tin oxide and stannous oxide, etc., with anti-rust, anti-discoloration, anti-vulcanization spot and other properties.
5. Oil film: The oil film on the surface of hot-dip tinning sheet is cottonseed oil or palm oil, and the oil coating amount is 0.02g/m2; The oil film of tin plate was dioctyl acidate, and the oil coating amount was 0.002-0.005g/m2. The oil film can increase the corrosion resistance of the tin plate, play a lubricating role in the manufacture of empty tank and prevent surface yellowing and surface corrosion during storage.
